(Verse 20:114 from the Holy Quran)
In Allah’s name, we gather here today,
With hearts of faith, we humbly pray,
For King Abdullah, our guide so true,
May Allah’s light always shine on you.
(Verse 2:286 from the Holy Quran)
“لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا”
“Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear.”
With every challenge that you face,
May Allah grant you boundless grace,
To lead our land with wisdom’s might,
In Allah’s guidance, seek your light.
(Verse 4:135 from the Holy Quran)
“يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَاءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوْ عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَوِ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْأَقْرَبِينَ”
“O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives.”
In justice’s name, you take your stand,
Guided by Allah’s loving hand,
With courage firm and hearts so pure,
Lead us, King Abdullah, we are sure.
(Verse 49:13 from the Holy Quran)
“يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا ۚ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ”
“O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.”
Together as one, we stand and see,
The beauty of our diversity,
In Allah’s name, we unite our voice,
King Abdullah, in you, we rejoice.
In Allah’s light, we find our way,
As we pray for you, night and day,
Oh King Abdullah, strong and just,
In Allah’s name, in Him we trust.
